10 Minute HIIT Legs and Abs

Tone your legs and abs with this 10 minute HIIT workout!



High Intensity Interval Training


HIIT has quickly become the new hot commodity when it comes to working out. HIIT workouts involve working hard to your max potential for a short period of time, and then resting for a short period of time. Combining different exercises to do in short bursts of time turns your body into a fat burning machine.


With HIIT we can no longer use the excuse "I don't have time". These workouts can be completed in just 10 minutes! You can do this at home or at the gym and customize it anyway you want. Simply pick a few exercises that will push you for a duration of 30, 60, or 90 seconds. Then simply take a quick rest for less, the same, or up to double the amount of time based on your fitness level. Depending on the number of exercises you chose, you can then choose to repeat the circuit if desired.


I put together a HIIT workout that focused on toning our legs and our abs! This workout was completed in 30 second intervals, with a 30 second rest, and then repeated 3x for a total of a 10 minute workout.


Exercises:

  1. Crossover Lunges (30 seconds each leg)

  2. Russian Twists

  3. Jumping/Pop Squats

  4. Toe Tap Planks

  5. High Knees

  6. In and Outs (I placed a weight in front of me and alternated left and right of it)
